Liesl started her career in banking with First National Bank in 1988, marketing and promoting its Videobank Solution, the precursor to Internet banking. She was responsible for the promotion of the solution in Kwa-Zulu Natal, calling on its branches and clients. After seven years, she moved into payroll software sales where she was responsible for new business at Paywise Software. Liesl garnered further sales experience with Siltag, a member of the Siltek Group where she was responsible for business development of their Asset Tagging solution. A stint at Hewlett Packard (HP) saw her leave the field of sales to move into public relations where she joined Livewired Communications. Within 4 and a half years', gaining valuable experience in technology PR, Liesl formed Evolution PR in 2004 and grew the business to include a client base including international and JSE listed companies. Liesl has grown her company to include 13 clients over the past 14 years and has been able to compete with larger PR agencies due to her personalised service where she plays an integral role in the management of each account.
Sandri de Wet graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bcom degree in Communication Management where she majored in both general Communication Management and Business Management. Sandri previously gained experience in PR focused on the financial services industry. Sandri was exposed to social media management, maintenance of client websites as well as upholding media relations. Sandri manages a number of key accounts at Evolution PR and is instrumental in driving media activities across a number of sectors. Sandri's ability to interpret and understand clients' requirements enables her to meet expectations, and with her passion for PR, Sandri is able to operate and work efficiently under pressure.
Dineo gained a number of years' experience in PR spanning Tourism, Sports and Corporate PR. She came to realise while working for various PR agencies that the fundamentals of public relations remain the same regardless of the industry. Through this very important realisation she quickly came to learn that to achieve the best results for your clients, one needs to prioritise maintaining good relationships with the media in order to receive as much publicity for your clients. In turn, obtaining and maximising the best possible return on investment for both the client and the company.
Lovejoy Shangase obtained her degree in Public Relations and Communications at the University of Johannesburg in 2016. She started out at Evolution PR as a PR Administrative Assistant, delivering the essential component of tracking media exposure as well as handling general administration. She gained an understanding of the value of media exposure with her time spent at Newsclip. Currently, Lovejoy provides support to the PR Account Managers as an Account Executive. Ariella Glocer completed her Honours in Communication with distinction from Varsity College, Sandton as the top student of her year. While earning her BA in Corporate Communications, Ariella sought to expand her passion through completing the HSK Level 1 for Mandarin Chinese proficiency. She has also developed her digital skills and knowledge through completing the Google Digital Garage course. This course involved grasping an understanding of social media, the expanding role of the Internet, the benefits of using applications for business, digital marketing and Google analytics. As Evolution PR's Administration Assistant, Ariella enables the Account Managers to perform their roles by ensuring coverage is obtained for clients and that all administrative duties are fulfilled on a daily basis.
Kathryn Language has 15 years' experience in ICT and business journalism and has contributed to numerous ICT trade publications, in-house journals and special research projects as editor, consulting editor, project manager and writer. Her work covers the development and implementation of ICT solutions in the enterprise, SME sector and government.
