Liesl Simpson worked for almost a decade in the ICT sector in South Africa, before moving into public relations over twenty years ago. She has worked with clients in this capacity including industry players such as Drive Control Corporation, ALCO-Safe, T-Systems South Africa, Jasco Electronics, Western Digital, Johnson Controls, Hewlett Packard (HP), SterKinekor Entertainment, In2IT Technologies and TransUnion to mention a few. Liesl delivers the critical public relations knowledge and experience to Evolution PR and drives the key areas where customers sense the greatest value.

LARA KARAM

Lara Rothwell graduated from Rhodes University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English Language and Linguistics. She then went on to attain a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDM) from the University of Cape Town. Lara has gained PR experience within multiple industries, including technology, retail banking, education, finance and tax, among others. She prides herself on exemplary media relations skills, PR strategy compilation and client relationship management. She oversees a team of Account Managers at Evolution PR, providing strategic direction on the accounts, and ensuring that media activities remain on target. Lara’s ability to interpret clients’ requirements enables her to meet expectations, and with her passion for PR and communications, she strives to ensure that Evolution PR’s clients remain topical and newsworthy.

BRIAN SIBANDA

Brian Sibanda is a PR Account Manager with 10 years’ experience in the technology, consumer goods and government relations space. Brian specialises in media relations and copywriting and possess a knack for identifying and understanding the industries his clients operate in. Brian is currently an Account Manager at Evolution PR looking after a diverse portfolio of clients in the training and short-term staffing solutions.

LIHLE MKHIZE

Lihle Mkhize has over five years of experience as a Public Relations professional specialising in brand promotion through reputation management, impact-driven PR campaigns, and strategic stakeholder relations. Throughout her career, Lihle has worked with clients in various industries namely; science and research, FSP, chambers of commerce, academia, and health. She has a solid commitment to continuous learning and is passionate about building sustainable brand reputation and affinity for organisations. Lihle is currently the Account Manager at Evolution PR, looking after an inventory of leading tech-based clients both local and international.

VALENTINE RAKOBELA

Valentine Rakobela is a Public Relations consultant with over six years of experience specialising in media relations, reputation management, PR campaigns, and strategic stakeholder relations. Throughout her career, Valentine has worked with a variety of clients in various sectors namely, Education, Energy, Technology, Mining, and Health. She is open to constant learning and is passionate about developing sustainable brands. Valentine is currently an Junior Account Manager at Evolution PR, looking after a portfolio of leading clients in the IT, Technology, and Mining sectors both locally and internationally.

Mbali Makhubo completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Corporate Communications at Varsity College, then proceeded to attain her Honours Degree in Communications, graduating at the top her class as the highest overall achiever. She is a curious, creative, and enthusiastic individual, which she puts into her work. Above all, she is a team player, and plays a significant role as the Administrative Assistant at Evolution PR.

Martin Czernowalow is a content specialist with more than 20 years’ journalism experience in print and digital media. He completed a BA Degree at the University of Pretoria in 1997 and has since held various senior positions at leading ICT, B2B and mainstream publications in South Africa. He spent over a decade at ITWeb, where he fulfilled the roles of news editor, editor and group investigative editor. He has also led the news team at The Citizen newspaper in his capacity as news editor. Leveraging his vast media experience and industry knowledge, he has the ability to work to tight deadlines and write on any subject matter, across many industry sectors.
